Now at last, it’s Ricky Nelson’s turn, so this four-CD box set is a welcome release, not only for fans of Ricky Nelson, but also the thousands of rockabilly aficionados around the world.
Every one of the 127 tracks included here in the set have been digitally mastered from the original Verve and Imperial studio tapes to give you, the listener, a totally superb top quality sound! And it makes fascinating listening to hear Ricky making a few attempts before getting it right.
Also, we will hear studio chat from the Jordanaires, producer Jimmie Haskell, Ricky’s father Ozzie Nelson and, of course Ricky himself, all the complete Verve sessions, and not forgetting the many previously unreleased alternative versions included here from the Imperial years, also instrumental attempts of some Ricky's best known songs and also new stereo versions, all of them sounding truly superb.
Finally we've included a 16 page booklet with lots of information and pics, wrote by Iain Young, the boss man of this project that we at Sleazy Records proudly present.
