ANGELA HOODOO BIO

Angela Hoodoo has firmly established herself as one of the most influential artists on the national Americana roots music scene. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Granada, she has a long career behind her, having played in Punk/Rock bands (A.C.A.B.A.D.A.S., Granada) and Blues bands (Blue Bloody Blades, Barcelona), among others. Her current repertoire dives deep into genres like outlaw country, Americana, rhythm & blues, western swing, blues, and rockabilly, with an irresistible stage presence alongside her loyal band made up of musicians from the Málaga scene, where she currently resides and where the project was born.

Following the release of her debut album “Coyote” (FOLC Records, 2023) and an extensive tour that took her to renowned venues across the country and festivals such as Rockin’ Race Jamboree and Huercasa Country Festival, Angela has earned a well-deserved place in today’s music scene. The reception from audiences, music critics, and the press has been overwhelmingly positive. Her freshness and originality bring something both rare and necessary: a modern sound and production within vintage-style genres, with no intention of simply imitating the classics, though clearly rooted in them. Angela exudes charisma, has undeniable stage presence, a captivating voice, and top-notch songwriting.

Angela Hoodoo is back to surprise us again. She comes into 2025 with confident strides and fully loaded, presenting her second studio album: “Outlaw Girls”, a 10’’ record featuring seven razor-sharp tracks, produced by Málaga-based musician Pablo Fugitivo, and recorded, mixed, and mastered at Hollers Analog Studio by Maxi Bandera (who also worked on her previous LP). The release comes under the Málaga-based label Sleazy Records.

This spring, she kicks off her “Outlaw Girls Tour 2025”, with several dates already confirmed at venues and festivals throughout the country.
