Sleazy Records launch four 10" Lps, featuring four unique artists in the Latin Swing tradition from both sides of the Atlantic.

From the USA, Don Tosti and Lalo Guerrero are perhaps the most important names in L.A.’s pachuco swing. Lalo Guerrero, in the early 50's, mixed the rhythm & blues sounds of combos like Louis Jordan & The Timpany Five or Bullmose Jackson with those of Mexican orchestras, creating a unique style, singing in Spanish and championing the dances of the first generation of Mexico-Americans on the West Coast. On the other side Don Tosti added elements of mambo, rumba, scat and jazz to the same formula, seasoned with the pachucos' own slang, in a unique combination.

Antonio Machín, before becoming one of the key names of the Spanish music scene in the 1960s as bolero singer, had an interesting background in his native Cuba, where in the early 1950s he developed a swing influence, of artists such as Cab Calloway, in the Cuban son. While in Spain, Lolita Garrido did the same a few years later, extending the range to calypso, and making some really tasty recordings that needed to be reclaimed.
